Menden creates the perfect festive atmosphere

Menden in Sauerland, a medium sized town in North Rhine Westphalia is a prime example of how to create an overall atmosphere from festive lighting and decorations.  The results were assisted by the good cooperation between city, retail traders, private sponsors, public utilities, MK Illumination and its Premium Partner Belucci.

Together they decided on a traditional overall appearance that was supported by the utilization of warm white light. The illuminated lanterns, trees and across street motifs guaranteed a cozy atmosphere in the town. Special accents in the design were introduced with red organic balls made from 100% recyclable material. The combination of traditional lighting paired with sustainable lighting technology will continue to delight the people of Menden for another five years.

Winter wonderland in Europe’s biggest Shopping Centre

Avia Park, Moscow, Europe’s biggest shopping centre chose MK Illumination to supply its New Year’s decoration. A fantasy of festive illumination simulating a Russian Winter. Located only seven kilometres from Red Square and the Kremlin, the lighting design for MK Illumination’s client AMMA Development featured drape lights in the atrium to symbolize Russia’s typical heavy snowfall.  MK Illumination’s String Lites were also mounted on the exterior glass façade for extra seasonal atmosphere in keeping with the theme of a Russian Winter. Other outstanding features were the birch trees in the snow, the giant 10metre Christmas Tree in the main mall and the popular “Henry the Moose” motif.

MK Illumination is proud to be supplying Europe’s largest shopping centre and is looking forward to further extending the New Year’s decoration in 2015 to prolong this successful partnership.

Lighting up Dubai for the 20th annual Shopping Festival

MK Illumination made an illuminating start to 2015 with a project that represents its inaugural activity in the Gulf States. The company, with input from production and MK Illumination Romania was commissioned to provide creative lighting for the city of Dubai on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)

The DSF is the largest shopping and entertainment extravaganza in the Middle East. It draws visitors from all over the world and is a very effective showcase for MK Illumination’s creative lighting. The festival involves a wide variety of events, activities and promotions including international concerts, musicals, shows, sports and fashion events. For this important commission MK Illumination worked with its client the office of the Dubai Shopping Festival. In line with the festival’s two slogans “Feel the energy of Shopping Festival” and “Let the festival wrap entire Dubai”, MK Illumination created festive lighting motifs that were located throughout the city designed to illustrate and inspire shopping. Among the motifs were 3D bags, shoes, diamonds, urban dresses, rings, cups plus euro and dollar signs. As part of the display MK Illumination also decorated the city’s palm trees and poles whilst also supplying 2D ground motifs.

Traumhafter Winter in Europas größtem Shopping-Center

Menden – gute Zusammenarbeit schafft Freude
