The timeless design of the good old tungsten light bulb is in the process of disappearing from our households. MK Illumination is dedicating another example of its own product development to bring this popular classic and piece of nostalgia back to the streets and squares of the world in over- dimensional size.
We are pleased to offer our Edison XL 36 Volt in the following versions:
· „Edison XL“ – the model in warmwhite and brilliantwhite, in two different sizes
· „Edison XL RGBW“ – the innovative version as RGBW – each individually controllable with DMX
· „Edison XL Kinetic/RGBW“ – the high-end version for especially spectacular and emotionally charged projects.
There are various possible uses for the “Edison XL”, either as single decorative elements, in combination with Snowballs or Supernovas, or aesthetically arranged as an entire tree. We were able to demonstrate a first impression of how these retro bulbs are so wonderfully effective today when integrated into modern design by demonstrating the “„Edison XL Kinetic/RGBW“ as part of a special lighting installation at our 20th Anniversary celebrations last September.
Now we take pleasure in inviting you to our MK Illumination trade fair stand (Hall 11.0/D40) and to ABRAXUS by MK Illumination in Hall 11.0/C.78 at “Christmasworld” in Frankfurt (27th to 31st January 2017). See for yourself how effective these bulbs can be.
The impressive “Hometown Project Museumstraße” in Innsbruck’s city center demonstrates how Experience Marketing can also function in ‘analog’ mode. The heart shape of the display was transformed into the central motif of the fantastic lighting installation in the shopping street, thus conveying the sincere, and ‘heartfelt’ warmth of all the employees in the retail shops. And it is all about these warm-hearted people who affix hearts to the shop windows along the whole street, and who inside as well as outside share their hearts with the customers.
Our highly professional assembly teams – responsible for the construction and installation of MK Illumination’s Christmas lighting and creative lighting displays – are an important part of our success. So how about dismantling those displays? What does expert dismantling mean?
We always recommend that our customers engage exactly the same highly professional teams and personnel to dismantle our MK lighting and displays. This is because it is a job that requires a profound knowhow about how these precious lighting fixtures, right down to the smallest LEDs, need to be stored, so that they can quickly and easily be retrieved and reused for the next big occasion.
During the dismantling process, members of our assembly team document the logistical process right down to the finest detail, including any eventual necessary repairs, or they take care of them on the spot. They complete the process, leaving behind a system that is exactly sorted into its component parts. This can be easily and appropriately stored for the next season either in the customer’s own storage facility, or in one that has been rented by us for this purpose.
We take the long-life of the product, its sustainability, and the efficient dismantling process, seriously. In the hands of our experienced team, dismantling only takes an average of half, or even one third of the original assembly time. Even with the biggest projects, this usually only takes between four and seven days.
Reaching the end of the year, we all almost automatically take a quiet look back. Likewise, we are now putting together a number of our most beautiful lighting projects and light displays for you. A gallery of MK Illumination activities all over the world – large and small creations our team thorougly enjoyed as they inspired their imagination and presented new challenges. Lighting designs that provided people around the globe with some happy moments throughout the day.
Finland can be bleak in the winter, and Christmas lights were until now relatively unknown in the Finnish capital until last year. So it was a great challenge to our MK team in Finland to illuminate the famous Esplanadi park, and its adjacent main streets. Inspiration and theme: the Christmas forest, and its fabled four-legged inhabitants, the reindeer. For the project a whole family of original Finnish larger-than-life reindeer were designed and fabricated in MK Illumination’s own factory. Even the lighting decorations on the streetlights and tree branches were reminiscent of the horns of these legendary Christmas animals – the entire staging a delightful combination of warm gold and brilliant white light. Little wonder that the people of Helsinki eagerly photographed its Christmas miracle and documented it well online.
