MK Illumination was thrilled to develop a scheme to support its exciting Kissmas project in the prestigious Xintiandi district of Shanghai for the Christmas festive season 2013. Xintiandi represents the most popular shopping and excursion mile in Shanghai with a huge range of restaurants and many shopping and entertainment opportunities.
The Kissmas project resulted in a huge spectacle on display in the main plaza of Xintiandi that generated much interest and curiosity and created obvious pleasure. It was carried out in cooperation with the Xintiandi client and Paul Cocksedge Studio London.
The display included the decoration of some 150 trees with warm white flashing String Lites and the development of a special tree where the lights changed from white to red (the colour of love) when couples kissed under it! The entire district was lit up by no fewer than 125,320 LED points of light.
